At KidsConnecting, we pride ourselves on providing a personalized and intimate experience for young autistic children. Our clinic has a relaxed, homelike feel, creating a comfortable and supportive environment for everyone involved.
Unlike larger clinics, you will work directly with our Founder and Clinical Director, Stacey Baskind, ensuring that you receive the highest quality care. Additionally, all our clinicians are highly qualified so you can trust that your child is receiving top-notch therapy from experts in the field.
Autistic and neurodiverse children learn through play with a responsive, engaging and trusted adult. Therapy at KidsConnecting looks and feels more like play than therapy. Our centre is full of fun, developmentally appropriate toys and activities that we use to engage and teach your child.
We believe that parents play an important role in their child's therapy, which is why we welcome and encourage your involvement throughout the process. Parent coaching is an essential part of your child’s therapy journey. Stacey Baskind will work directly with you and other important people in your child’s life (grandparent, baby sitters, older sibling) to ensure that you all feel confident in using effective strategies to engage and interact with your autistic child.
Group learning is an essential part of our comprehensive clinical offerings. We have groups for autistic/neurodiverse children between two and eight years old. Groups are created to serve our clients, with some groups running on an on-going basis and others running in eight-week blocks. Our groups are kept small, with a maximum of four children, to ensure each child receives the attention and support they deserve. Our groups are co-facilitated by a teacher and a behaviour therapist, providing a well-rounded and comprehensive approach to therapy.
We understand that everyone's schedule is different, so we offer flexible options that won't require a huge time commitment. Most of our clients receive 1-4 hours of individual therapy and/or parent coaching, and a two-hour group each week.
At KidsConnecting, we know that autistic kids learn best when they feel happy, safe, respected and connected!
